Fastest convertibles

Top 40 fastest open-top cabriolet cars. Updated December 2020.

Convertibles are often less performance-oriented than their fixed roof siblings, but this is not always the case.

Some supercars are designed to be convertibles or targa-tops and some to have no roof at all - not even manual roof.

Carbon fiber monocoque construction used by supercar brands like McLaren, Koenigsegg or Lamborghini, allows to build rigid open top cars giving up almost nothing in structural stiffness and handling characteristics.

Top speed is least affected by any loss of rigidity or weight penalty, therefore we see no shortage of very high top speed cars, including some exceeding 400 kph.
